The dense microstructure of AZS-33 electrofused zirconia-corundum brick provides good resistance to glass melt erosion, making it less prone to scaling or other defects, and minimizing the possibility of small bubbles. Therefore, AZS-33 electrofused zirconia-corundum brick is widely used in glass furnaces, mainly in the upper structure of the melting tank, the tank wall and bottom bricks of the working tank, and the feed channels.

Despite of the similar eutectic crystal asAZS 33, AZS 36 has more free baddeleyite crystals in chain structure
